Byrne Jumps for Joy Print
This breaching maneuver is being performed by someone I like to call a friend: Humpback whale CRC-21507 "Byrne". They were a repeat guest at the whale watch- in fact, my records show that I've seen this individual at least five times! Not only were they quite friendly to the boat, they were also quite the show-off. On the day I captured this image, we saw Byrne breach out of the water at least 45 times in the span of an hour-and-a-half! That's one jump every two minutes! Needless to say, I got a lot of practice capturing whale breaches that day.
